The article title is Are you afraid that you are going to fall behind with studying? Here are 7 things you need to do to get back on track Afraid that you might fall behind with studying? Fret not, here are 7 things you can do to get back on track with studying.    7 steps to help catch up with studies and not fall behind with studying 1 - Acknowledge your stress and elevate it  Firstly, when you fall behind with studying, the chances are that you feel stressed out by it too. Hence the very first point is to remind yourself that it is okay to feel stressed. You should also acknowledge that you are stressed, instead of masking the stress and trying to keep these emotions in. Give yourself time to take a break and reorganize your feelings and thoughts.  Always know that there is help available and you are never alone in this!    2 - Take time out to reorganize your studies  When you have taken time off to digest your emotions, come back and plan on what you are going to do next to tackle your studies. Find out what are subjects you are falling behind and what are the respective things you need to do to be back on track again. It can be overwhelming when you write out the lists of things you need to get done however, it helps to give you an overview of what you need to get done.   3 - Create a plan to get back on track Now that you know what need to do, create a plan, a timeline, or a schedule. Give yourself time to catch up with your studies and remember to plan your day with breaks and rests. Even when you have a long list of to-do, you should still set aside time for breaks and rests.    4 - Time management is key  The plan will not work if you do not practice time management and self-discipline in the midst. It is important to keep in mind that you need to manage your time well to get all your existing work and catch-up work done concurrently. You might have to exert a stronger sense of self-discipline when you are falling behind with studying. You need to delegate time for it without hindering your existing schedule.    Read also: 4 Useful and Effective Time Management Tips for Students   5 - Do a reflection  Reflection is important at any point in your studying and more important when you are on the path of catching up with your studies. Always take time to check in with your emotions and feelings. Make sure that you are not overly stressed out and getting plenty of rest. Reflections are also a great way to ensure that you are on track and catching up with your studies. Reflections are not only about progress, it is also about how you are feeling, how you think you can do better, etc.    6 - Reach out for help Should you feel like you are no longer capable of doing this alone, you can reach out to anybody you trust. Your family, friends, school counselors, and tutors will be there for you. You do not have to be afraid of asking for help. Sometimes, getting help could be beneficial and effective.    7 - Be consistent When you have successfully caught up with your studies, now it’s time to be consistent with your studies. You can reduce procrastination and constantly check your to-do lists to make sure you are not falling behind with studying. This helps to track your progress and catches any signs of falling behind immediately. It is also advisable to plan ahead - if you know you will be having a busy week ahead with personal appointments, be sure to schedule more time for your studying this week. It will help you to lighten the load next week and keep you on track with your studies.   In a nutshell, it is common for students to fall behind with studying every now and then. It is not because of one’s lack of diligence, but we may have sudden crop-ups or social appointments we wish to be present for. Hence, falling behind with studying can be resolved with the mentioned steps above.
